Day 1. We drove - literally - around the whole park stopping off at various sites that gave a quick overview of what the park offered. Picture 1: Old Faithful. If you are going to Yellowstone, as touristy as it is, you have to stop by and see it. Picture 2: Boiling River. A neat place where very hot geothermal water combines with cold river water to make a fun lunch time stop to take a refreshing dip. Picture 3: Avalanche Peak. Climbed up to the summit - 10,566 ft.
